With her background and experiences in ministry, public speaking, and publishing, Valerie has dedicated her life to sharing the hope of the Gospel through written and spoken word. Her own book, Finding Hope When Storms Don’t Cease, is a powerful true story of faith, resilience, and divine restoration, and has encouraged countless readers walking through dark seasons of loss and uncertainty.

Valerie established International Christian Book Awards with a clear mission: to honor and recognize Christian authors who write with excellence, authenticity, and biblical integrity while sharing God's message through story. Under her leadership, the International Christian Book Awards will grow to be a prestigious platform that recognizes inspiring works across multiple genres—from memoirs and children’s literature to Christian romance and spiritual growth.

Known for her grace, insight, and entrepreneurial spirit, Valerie is also a speaker and mentor, empowering both new and seasoned authors to walk boldly in their God-given calling.

One of the passions that drives Valerie is her desire to build a school/church for the people of Pakistan and a playground for the children to safely play.

When Valerie's not reviewing manuscripts or hosting award ceremonies, she is also a seasonal tax preparer and advisor, enjoys spending time with her family, traveling with her husband Tim Armstrong, and championing the next generation of Christian communicators.
