A Story of World Impact

It was an unexpected request, "Please preach to our people in Pakistan".

I knew nothing about Pakistan or its people but stepped through a door God was opening. On a hot summer evening, the worship leader gathered his people into a large corridor. Men, women and children sat on a rug on the dusty ground. With generators for lights and sound, speakers in the corners and our telephones, I began to teach about Jesus and God His father through a zoom halfway around the world, while he began to translate.

What happened next was even more unexpected--- people gave their life to Christ, paralyzed hands were healed, and those possessed with demonic oppression for years were set free. All through the power of the Holy Spirit and those willing to let Him use them.

A heart for the people began to grow and a desire to bring hope deepened. Through International Christian Book Awards, we hope to provide the Holy Bible, cost for the generators, and rented pools for water baptism. One day we hope to build a playground for the children to play safely.

Valerie Kay Juillerat is a visionary leader, award-winning author, and passionate advocate for Christian literature that transforms lives. As the Founder and Executive Director of the International Christian Book Awards, Valerie brings together her love for storytelling, her passion for entrepreneurship, and her heart for elevating voices of faith across the globe.

With her background and experiences in ministry, public speaking, and publishing, Valerie has dedicated her life to sharing the hope of the Gospel through written and spoken word. Her own book, Finding Hope When Storms Don’t Cease, is a powerful true story of faith, resilience, and divine restoration, and has encouraged countless readers walking through dark seasons of loss and uncertainty.

One of the passions that drives Valerie is her desire to build a school/church for the people of Pakistan and a playground for the children to safely play.

When Valerie's not reviewing manuscripts or hosting award ceremonies, she is also a seasonal tax preparer and advisor, enjoys spending time with her family, traveling with her husband Tim Armstrong, and championing the next generation of Christian communicators.
